The Beijing Municipal Health Commission announced on Wednesday that women who gave birth to a third-child on and after May 31 can enjoy an extra 30-day maternity leave and a 15-day paternity leave for their spouses.

北京市卫生健康委员会8月4日表示，5月31日(含)后按规定生育三孩的，除享受国家规定的产假外，享受生育奖励假30天，其配偶享受陪产假15天。

The Ministry of Education stated at a press conference this afternoon that the epidemic prevention measures and teaching arrangements of the coming autumn semester should follow a “one province, one policy; one school, one policy” rule, making different arrangements according to different situations. Schools in high and medium risk areas should postpone the start of next semester to ensure an orderly, healthy and safe teaching environment.

教育部在今日下午召开的国务院联防联控机制新闻发布会上表示，今年秋季具体开学时间的安排、方式的选择以及疫情防控措施和教育教学的安排，各地要一省一策，因地制宜，一校一案，因校施策。中高风险地区学校暂缓开学，中高风险地区学生暂缓返校，以确保教学的开展是有序健康和安全的。

China bagged another gold medal today in women's 10-meter platform diving. By 5 p.m Thursday, China is still in the lead in the Olympic medal haul, winning 33 golds, 24 silvers and 16 bronzes, followed by the U.S. and Japan, with 27 and 21 golds respectively. China's volleyball legend Lang Ping has decided to retire as the national team head coach, and will continue her career in a university. The announcement came after the highly-anticipated volleyball team failed to enter the semi-final.

62 locally transmitted cases were reported yesterday on Chinese mainland, most of which were from Jiangsu Province. The National Railway Administration said it would resolutely prevent people who do not meet travel requirements from entering and boarding stations. The National Immigration Administration has halted ordinary passports issuance for non-essential and non-emergency purposes.

全国昨日新增62例本土确诊病例（江苏40例，湖南9例，北京3例，山东3例，河南3例，云南3例，湖北1例）。铁路部称坚决杜绝不符合出行要求的人员进站上车。移民局表示对非必要、非紧急出境事由，暂不签发普通护照等出入境证件。

China's vaccine producer Sinopharm announced on Wednesday that its research team discovered a potent neutralizing antibody against the Delta variant that could be effective in short-term preventive and early treatment of COVID-19 triggered by this variant.

Baijiu stocks plunged today as the Ministry of Science and Technology said last night that a research in Canada suggested drinking alcohol may cause cancer. Wuliangye came down 3.13 percent, Kweichow Maotai dropped 1.45 percent, and Yanghe Brewery dipped 0.73 percent.

Shares of growth hormones producers slumped today, with both Changchun High-Tech and Anke Biotech down around 10 percent, after state media reported that the popular “height boosting shot” is in fact an injection of growth hormone, which could cause endocrine disorders in patients.

新华社发文指出，近年来兴起的“增高针”，其实就是注射生长激素。专家认为，生长激素有被滥用的苗头，可能带给使用者内分泌紊乱、脊柱侧弯等健康风险。相关企业股价大跌，长春高新跌10%，安科生物跌10.52%。

GREE Electric Appliances issued a report Wednesday on the progress of the third phase of its share repurchase plan. The company has completed a buyback of about 202 million shares worth over 10 billion yuan through centralized bidding by the end of July. Shares of GREE Electric slipped another 0.8 percent following yesterday’s 1.42 percent drop.

昨日，格力电器发布关于股份回购进展情况的公告，显示截至2021年7月31日，公司第三期回购计划已通过集中竞价方式，以超100亿元累计回购公司股份约2.02亿股。昨日，格力电器股价下跌1.42%，今日再跌0.8%。

Li Auto is reported to end its IPO subscription in Hong Kong in advance. Earlier, document released by Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX) showed that the electric vehicle maker will begin trading at the Hong Kong stock market on August 12, offering 100 million shares in its IPO for as much as HK$150 each.

消息称，理想汽车将提前结束香港IPO申购。此前，据港交所文件显示，理想汽车将于8月12日开始在联交所买卖，通过香港IPO发行1亿股股票，最高发行价为每股150港元。

Kuaishou Technology’s Hong-Kong listed shares slumped 15.3 percent today, as the short video platform operator confirmed it will shut down its Zynn app on August 12. Zynn was intended to compete with ByteDance’s TikTok in the North American market, but was barred from app stores by Google and Apple in June due to copyright issues. 

短视频运营公司快手科技今日港股下跌15.3%，公司宣布将于8月12日关闭Zynn应用。Zynn原计划在北美市场，与字节跳动旗下的TikTok竞争。但在今年六月，由于用户从其他平台窃取内容，Zynn遭谷歌、苹果应用商店下架。

Charles Li, former chief executive of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing (HKEX), has launched Micro Connect, a new investment platform aimed at connecting global investors with small businesses in the Chinese mainland.

Chinese biggest instant messaging platform WeChat has reopened for new users registration after a 10 days’ halt for security technology updates.

Apple is reported to be working with more Chinese suppliers to produce its latest iPhones on Wednesday. Luxshare Precision is set to build up to 3 percent of the upcoming iPhone 13 series, and two firms it acquired last year will supply key components and parts for the latest iPhones. Lens Tech will supply metal casings and Sunny Optical will supply rear camera lenses.

据报道，苹果将与更多的中国供应商合作生产最新的iPhone。立讯精密将负责制造最高达3%的iPhone 13系列，其去年收购的两家公司将为最新iPhone提供关键零部件。蓝思科技将提供金属外壳，舜宇光学将提供后置摄像头。

Chinese stocks closed lower on Thursday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index down 0.31 percent, at 3466 points. The Shenzhen Component Index closed 0.79 percent lower at 14872 points. The Hang Seng Index closed 0.84 percent lower to stand at 26204 points. The northbound trading net outflow totaled nearly 20 billion yuan on Thursday in closing, after six consecutive days of net inflow.

周四A股股市小幅回调，集体收跌，截至收盘，沪指跌0.31%，报收3466点；深成指跌0.79%，报收14872点。港股恒生指数收跌0.84%，报收26204点。今日北向资金净流出约20亿，终结连续六日净流入。
